About Our Island

Kaplan University is proud to be a forerunner in the virtual world of educational services. A team of developers at the College of Arts and Sciences is working on bringing you the best possible online environment in which to collaborate, teach, and learn. Currently, the Kaplan University College of Arts and Sciences Second Life Island features an administrative building, two amphitheaters, a science center, a history hall, and a student center. Future endeavors may allow us to bring you an online math and writing center which will offer tutorial services for those seeking help in either area.

The student center was developed to offer students a central place to communicate and study with other classmates in a warm and friendly environment. The island will be used for multiple purposes as we forge ahead with the development phases of building. Suggestions for improvements are always welcome and you are encouraged to use the various suggestion boxes located throughout the island.
